Ingredients

    Potato, raw, 7 cup diced
    Yogurt, plain, low fat, 1 cup (8 fl oz)
    Water, tap, 5 cup (8 fl oz)
    Curry powder, 2 tbsp Aloo Dum (Spicy potato curry mix)

    If you want to make from scratch here is a good recipe.
    1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
    Pinch of asafetida (hing)
    2 teaspoons besan (gram flour)
    1 bay leaf
    1 teaspoon grated ginger
    1 teaspoon finely chopped green chilies
    1 tablespoon coriander powder (dhania)
    1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
    1/2 teaspoon paprika
    1/4 chopped cilantro (hara dhania)

Directions

Slice potatoes thinly, add to pot with water and curry powder. Bring to a boil, simmer for 30 minutes, add yogurt, continue to simmer for 10-20 minutes.
