Introduction

Thought I would try my hand at making crackers. Can never find a low sodium, whole wheat cracker that is not too expensive. This makes 60 individual or12 serving, 5 crackers each. Ingredients

    2 cups whole wheat flour
    6 tbsp shortening
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt sense, to sprinkle on crackers before baking

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a food processor add all ingredients except salt. Process until forms a dough or use a stand mixer. Cut dough in half and cover remaing dough with damp towel. Roll dough into 1/8 rectangle. Place dough on to ungreased cookie sheet. With fork poke holes in dough all over. Sprinkle with half of the salt or to taste. Cut dugh in 2 inch wide strips then cut crosswise into squares.

Bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes or until bron and crisp but not burned.
