Introduction

Ingredients

    Dough
    2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
    2 tbs. Sugar
    4 tsp. Baking Soda
    1 tsp. Salt
    3 tbs. Butter
    3/4 cup Milk

    Filing
    4 tbs. Butter
    1 cup Brown Sugar
    3 tsp. Cinnamon

    Glaze
    6 tbs. Butter
    2 cups Powdered Sugar
    1.5 tsp. Vanilla Extract
    3 tbs. Milk

Directions

1. To create the filling, combine softened butter(Filling), cinnamon, and brown sugar in a small mixing bowl.

2. In a separate larger bowl combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.

3. Mush in the softened butter(Dough) into the large bowl with the dough ingredients.

4. Add the milk to the dough ingredients and mix together the ingredients to form a large soft lump of dough.

5. Lightly dust a flat surface (Counter, Cutting board, etc.) and roll the dough into a rectangle 1/4 inches thick.

6.Take half of your brown filling ingredients and spread evenly on the dough, take the other half and spread on the bottom of a 9x9 pan or a circular cake pan.(Do not spray pans with Pam, or grease with butter)

7.Roll up the dough square and slice into roughly 15-18 small rolls.

8.Place the rolls inside the pan atop of the filing and bake for 18 minutes at 400 degrees.

9. While your cinnamon buns are cooking, melt 6 tbs. of butter in a saucepan.

10. After it has melted down began to add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. This should create the ideal icing consistency.

11. Pull out the cinnamon buns and top them with icing and enjoy!
