Ingredients

    Cabbage, fresh, 5 cup, chopped
    Carrots, raw, shredded or sliced.
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, sliced
    Bacon, 1 medium slices, cooked
    Butter, unsalted, .5 tbsp (remove)
    Water, tap, .25 cup

Directions

Dice bacon , chop cabbage, dice onions and carrots. Sautee bacon in a skillet until just cooked. Add 1/2 tbsp of butter then add onions and sautee together until translucent. Add cabbage, and carrots and stir until well mixed with bacon and onion mixture. Pour in the water and place top on skillet. Turn down stove to medium and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until cabbage is al dente.

Serving Size: makes 4 servings as a meal or 8 for a side dish
