Introduction

Unlike traditional canned cranberry sauce, this chutney offers depth of flavor and a little bite that will make anything less seem bland. Unlike traditional canned cranberry sauce, this chutney offers depth of flavor and a little bite that will make anything less seem bland.

Ingredients

    12 bag oz. bag fresh cranberries
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. orange marmalade
    1 fresh lime
    1/4 c. bell pepper, chopped
    1/4 c. onion, chopped
    1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped

Directions

Rinse cranberries and remove any stems or soft berries. Place in heavy saucepan. Grate lime peel and remove pith and membranes. Chop the flesh and add to saucepan with all other ingredients. Simmer on low for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Allow to cool overnight. Serve chilled.

Serving Size: Makes 10 servings.
