Introduction

This salsa is easy to make and tastes far superior to anything from the grocer's shelves. It is fat free so try keeping some on hand and using it in place of other fatty condiments! Or, just keep it around for recipes or for just simply dipping your chips! This salsa is easy to make and tastes far superior to anything from the grocer's shelves. Ingredients

    3 large tomatoes
    1 medium white onion
    2 jalapeno peppers
    1 clove of garlic
    2 limes
    1 cup fresh cilantro
    Salt

Tips

Add more or less jalapenos to your desired level of heat.
Charring the veggies adds a nice smoky flavor, but is not completely necessary.

Directions

Char the tomatoes, onion, garlic and jalapenos. Remove from the heat and let cool. Remove the tops off the tomatoes and jalapenos.
Put all the ingredients in a blender including the cilantro and the juice from 2 limes. Add salt to taste. Blend until coarsely ground. Do not over blend.
