Ingredients

1 large banana, pureed yielding about 1 cup
1 cup uncooked oatmeal, Steel cut
4 cups fat-free plain soy milk
    4 Tbsp honey
    1/4 cups chopped walnuts
    1/2 tsp ground allspice
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Tips

I use my rice cooker to cook oatmeal. I set it up on the porridge cycle and set it up the night before to be ready by the time I get up. You could use a slow cooker on low all night long as well. If your cooker is too big, find a smaller vessel that will fit the oatmeal and still fit inside the slow cooker.

Directions

Put the pureed banana, oatmeal and Soy milk into the rice cooker. Add honey, chopped nuts, and spices. Set the rice cooker to the porridge mode and if it has a timer, set the timer for your get up time. Your house will smell great.
