Ingredients

    1.5 lbs lean ground beef
    1 onion, diced
    8 ounces uncooked spaghetti
1 (28-ounce) jar commercial spaghetti sauce
    1/2 tsp. ninced garlic
    1/2 tsp. oregano
8 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
    1 cup milk (not evaporated)
    1 (4-ounce) can mushrooms

Tips

I often save a little of the cheese and sprinkle over the top to give the baked dish an appetizing appearance.

Directions

Cook spaghetti according to package directions and drain. Saute meat with the diced onion, breaking up the meat into small pieces and cooking until brown. Drain. Mix meat into spaghetti sauce. Add garlic and oregano. Combine with spaghetti. Add cheeses, milk and mushrooms. Mix well and put in greased 9-by-13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until bubbly and beginning to brown around the edges.
