Ingredients

    1/2# - 93% lean ground beef
    1/2 cup onion, chopped
    1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
1 quart canned or frozen tomatoes
    1/2 cup tomato paste
1 15 oz. can Mrs. Grimes Chili Beans in Chili Sauce, No Salt Added

Tips

You can add more chili powder if desired and garnish with shredded cheese (not included in nutrition). Good warmed up for a quick lunch. I crushed tortilla chips in it instead of using crackers.

Directions

Brown ground beef, add onion and green pepper the last 3 minutes or so to soften. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste and chili beans. Simmer for about 25 minutes to blend flavors. The longer this cooks, the better it is. I put it in the crockpot on low and let it simmer all day.
