Introduction

Tasty granola bars with a few grams of fiber and protein. Tasty granola bars with a few grams of fiber and protein.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    Mix all dry ingredients together and use your hands to crunch the Chex cereal to into smaller pieces. Also make sure the coconut is not clumped. Then add the Caro and honey. Mix until everyting is combined. Press into an 8x8 baking dish.


Tips

You can simply make this as granola and break it apart while it is still warm.

Additives can include a 1/2c protein powder (for adults of course), 1/2c nuts, or 1/4c - 1/2c bran flakes. Also 1c small dried fruit (rasins, craisins, etc) or 1/2c larger dried fruit works well. Lastly, a few tsps of cocoa powder is also a welcomed addition. A slight adjustment may need to be made with the honey and/or Caro if you add something else but just enough to make it sticky...a Tbsp at a time will work.


Directions

Bake for 13-15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and cut into 10 bars.
