Ingredients

    2 Pounds Lean Ground Beef
    2 Containers of Ricotta Cheese
    1 32oz bag of mozzarella cheese. Preferably part skim.
    1 Large Egg
    1 Box Lasagna Noodles
    2 Jars of Lasagna or Spaghetti Sauce
    (or 3 cans of tomatoe sauce and spice to flavor)
    Italian Seasoning
    Onion Powder
    Garlic Powder (or Garlic Salt)
    Black Pepper

Directions

1)Boil noodles, unless you bought oven ready.

2) Brown ground beef in a large skillet. Add Onion Powder, Garlic Powder (or Garlic Salt), and Black Pepper to taste.

3) Drain grease when meat is browned.

4) Add Lasagna Sauce or Tomatoe Sauce and season to taste using Italian seasoning and any of the aforementioned seasonings.

5) In a large mixing bowl, combine the bag of mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, and egg. Mix thoroughly using hands.

6) In a large (8x13 or bigger) oven pan, evenly spread about half of the meat sauce on the bottom of the pan.

7) Place noodles on top of meat sauce side by side to cover the entire pan.

8) Crumble about half the cheese mixture on top of the noodles making sure to evenly cover surface.

9) Spread the other half of the meat sauce evenly over the layer of cheese.

10) Place the remainder of the noodles over the meat sauce side by side to cover entire pan.

11) Crumble the remainder of the cheese mixture over the noodles being sure to get close to the sides and cover evenly.

12) Top with parmesian cheese.

13) Cover with tin foil and place in oven pre-heated to 375. Bake for 25 minutes.

14) Remove pan from oven. Remove tin foil and discard. Place pan back into oven and cook an additional 25 minutes until cheese has fully melted and begins to darken slightly.

15) For a crispy top, turn oven to broil and leave in for 2-5 minutes keeping an eye on it so as not to burn.

16) Cut into 24 even pieces (3 cuts long way and 5 cuts the other way) and serve.
