Ingredients

    16 oz Smart Chicken Ground Chicken
    1 can (28 oz.) Tuttorosso crushed tomatoes with basil
    1 (6 oz.)can tomato paste
    4 cloves garlic (minced)
    2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
    1/2 cup water
    1/4 teaspoon Nu-Salt (salt substitute)
    1 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
    1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    2 tsp. italian seasoning
    1/4 tsp. celery seed
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
    1/2 cup onions, finely chopped

Tips

If you want to make this vegetarian, just leave out the ground chicken.


Directions

Heat olive oil in pot over medium-high heat, brown the ground chicken & onion, until cooked through and onions are soft, about 10 minutes.
Add the remaining ingredients to the pot, stir well. Turn heat to medium-low.
Simmer for an hour, stirring occasionally, and adding water if necessary.

Serving Size: Makes about 4 servings (depends on how much you want!)
