Introduction

I love my rice cooker for making things other than rice too. I have a small Zujirushi. If you have a larger rice cooker, double or triple the recipe and save leftovers or share with the family. Ingredients

    1/2 - 1 apple, cored, peeled and diced
    1 tsp sugar (or brown sugar, if preferred)
    1 tsp splenda
    cinnamon, to taste (1/2 tsp used for nutritional info)
    1/4 cup Bob's Red Mill 7 Grain Hot Cereal
    6 oz (3/4 cup) skim milk
    1/2 oz raisins, if desired

Directions

The night before:
Spray bottom of rice cooker with a bit of Pam.
Place apples, sugar, splenda, cinnamon in bottom of rice cooker pan.
Add cereal, milk, and raisins.
Program rice cooker using porridge setting. The oatmeal will be hot and waiting for you in the morning.

Serving Size: Makes 1 1-cup serving
