Introduction

I became obsessed with this sauce at my favorite Korean restaurant. Really good on Bi Bim Bap, but also perfect to spice up a healthy wrap or sandwich. Use when you need to spice up a meal. Ethnic ingredients can be found at a good Asian market. I became obsessed with this sauce at my favorite Korean restaurant. Ingredients

soybean paste (korean doenjang or japanese miso)
korean red pepper paste (gochujang, no substitute)
    honey
    green onions (scallions)
    garlic
    sesame seeds (optional)
    toasted sesame oil
    vinegar (rice, red/white wine, cider)
    low sodium soy sauce

Tips

If consistancy of sauce is too thick I like to thin with room temperature water about 1/2 tsp at a time till I get it right.

Directions

Just mix together with a fork and enjoy. Its spicy enough so a little goes a long way. Great with tofu and vegtable stirfry and rice! Mix in soup! Really good in homemade hummus! Experiment! Yum!
