Introduction
This is the French Dip I do with my family, I was appalled with how many calories and carbs I saw in a regular hoagie bun. This is the French Dip I do with my family, I was appalled with how many calories and carbs I saw in a regular hoagie bun.Number of Servings: 1
Ingredients
-
1 Italian Herb and Olive Oil Thinwhich
1T Smart Balance Light Butter spread
2 oz Primo Taglio Roast Beef
1 oz Mozzarella
sprinkling of garlic powder
Optional: 1/4 cup of Johnny's Au Jus is only 10 calories more.
Tips
You can always not garlic and butter the bread for about 50 calories less, i happen to like my bread very toasted. I wonder if you could get similar results with Spray butter?
Directions
Put your oven to Broil (high)
Butter your Thinwich and lightly sprinkle with garlic powder, pop in oven. Keep an eye on your bread as it can darken quickly. While its toasting i slice my cheese and lightly warm up my roast beef (30 seconds in microwave). When toasted add mozzarella on both halves and pop back in oven until it starts to darken. Plop on meat and warm just a couple minutes more until meat everything has melted and warmed. Plate and serve immediately.
