Healthy and my husband's favorite! Healthy and my husband's favorite!
Number of Servings: 8


    2 cups flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 cup canola oil
    4 tblsp. cold water


Mix flour, salt, oil and water with a fork until blended. Do not over-mix.
Divide in half.
Roll out each half between two pieces of plastic wrap.
Place bottom crust in 9 inch pie plate.
Add filling.
Place top crust over filling.
Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 45 minutes at 400 degrees.

  • It tasted okay. It was hard to keep together. It kept tearing and falling apart when I was putting it in the pie plate. I finally gave up on getting it in one piece. - 11/28/08

  • I tried this recipe. I think 2/3 cup oil was alot.
    I couldnt have a good structure for the paste and it was not also easy to rol it .

  • This pie crust is always flaky! And since it uses oil instead of butter or shortening, it makes a heart-healthier, pie. A winner every time. - 1/20/08
