Introduction

Toss the ingredients into the crock pot before bed and wake up to a great breakfast. I add some butter and brown sugar on top don't stir it up. It's like a caramel topping. Yummy! Ingredients

1 ˝ cups steel cut oats
1 ˝ Tbsp ground flaxseed (whole is okay, too)
    3 ˝ cups water
    ˝ cinnamon stick
    1 ˝ tsp. vanilla
    1 cup frozen blueberries (optional)

Tips

This isn't really a dessert, but it didn't fit any other categories either.

Cooking time is approximate. There's a lot of wiggle room with this recipe.

Directions

Find a heatproof bowl that will fit inside your slow cooker. Spray the bowl with cooking spray.

Put all ingredients in the bowl and set the bowl in the crock.

Add water to the crock until it comes up to the top of the ingredients in the bowl without spilling inside.

Put the lid on the crock pot and set to “warm” or “low.”

Cook approximately 8 hours.
