Introduction

Instead of buying canned beans I make these and stick them in the freezer. I pound package dry beans equals about 3 cans bought only without all the bad stuff, like sodium and such. Ingredients

    1 pound dry Red Kidney Beans
    7 cups water

Directions

Place ingredients in a crockpot and cook for about 3 hours, or until the beans are done to your individual taste. Place in cheap freezer safe containers, about 2 cups each, and freeze.

Serving Size: makes 6 - 1 cup servings

    this is a really good idea I tend to only buy the dry bean and often don't eat as many as it takes too long to cook but freezing them solves my problem thanks - 5/23/12
