Introduction
My fiance introduced this to me and it is a great alternative to hamburgers on the grill. My fiance introduced this to me and it is a great alternative to hamburgers on the grill.Number of Servings: 5
Ingredients
-
1/2 lbs of lean ground beef
10 Flour tortilla shells
1 cup each chopped: lettuce, tomatoes, onions.
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Tips
This recipe's calorie count includes only the ingredients listed.
Directions
Turn on the grill/BBQ to warm up.
Using a tablespoon, scoop a spoonful of raw hamburger onto a tortilla wrap and use the back of the spoon to 'smoosh' the hamburger into the shell. A thin layer is all that is needed. This can take some time, and elbow grease.
When all the shells are ready, place however many you can fit FACE DOWN (hamburger side) on the grill/BBQ. Watch carefully since they take only a few minutes to cook. The shell edges should be slightly browned and starting to turn up and the hamburger has to be cooked throughout.
Put on a plate and add cheese, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, anything you normally put on a hamburger. Wrap up (think fajita) and enjoy!
Serving Size: Makes about 10 wraps, 2 per person.
