Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    - 3 apples
    - 1/4 cup Key lime juice
    - 1/2 cup golden flax seed meal
    - 1/2 cup almond flour
    - 1/2 cup Splenda
    - 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (or to taste)
    - 4 tbsp Butter, at room temperature
    - 1/4 cup Egg Beaters

Directions

Preheat oven to 375*
in one bowl, Core and slice 3 medium apples (I used granny smith)
Add 1/4 cup of key lime juice. (You can use lemon juice)
Mix the juice with the apples to avoid browning of the fruit.
Drizzle 2 Tbsp Sugar-Free maple flavored syrup in with the apples.

In a 2nd bowl, combine the following:
- 1/2 cup golden flax seed meal
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup Splenda
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (or to taste)
- 4 tbsp Butter, at room temperature

Using your hands, combine the dry ingredients and butter, until crumbly.

Put apple mixture in an 8x8 pan.
Sprinkle the dry ingredients over the apples.
(optional) pour 1/4 cup of EggBeaters over the entire mixture.

Place in preheated 375* oven for 45 minutes, or until apples are softened a bit and the crisp is golden.

Serving Size: Makes 8 servings from an 8x8 pan

    Very Good
I'm not sure what the point of EggBeaters was, when a nice farm egg is 100% keto friendly? I will need to research how many eggs 1/4 cup Eggbeater "replaces". I guessed 1. Next time I will mix it in with the dry meals/butter. I used gala apples, not so great. Sour cream added nice zero carb fat, yum - 3/11/16
