Ingredients

    0.75 cup Canola Oil
1.0 head, medium (about 5-3/4" dia) Cabbage, fresh
8.0 large (7-1/4" to 8-1/2" long) Carrots, raw
    1000.0 Grams Potato, raw
    600.0 Grams Turnips
    6.0 lb Beef, brisket, trimmed

Directions

Empty the navel beef from the brine and fill in a stock pot with water and let soak 6-8 hours or over night. Change the water the nest day and put just the meat to boil low for another 4 hours and drain the water. Refill with water and boil another hour or so, taste the water and if it is still too salty then change the water an additional time. At this point add all the vegetables but the cabbage, which you will add appx 45min after adding all the vegetables and continue boiling for 20ish min or until the cabbage is cooked. Enjoy-I serve mine with mustard and like any boiled dinner...its much better on the second day! Serving Size: 8-10ish
