Ingredients

Dill Pickles, 2 cup (about 46 slices)
Peanut Oil, 3/4 cup
Wheat flour , 1/2 cup
Buttermilk, lowfat, 1/2 cup
Egg, fresh, 1 large
Saltine Crackers (Saltines), 2 cup, crushed
Dill weed, dried, .75 tsp
Pepper, red or cayenne, .75 tsp
Salt/Pepper
Directions
heat oil to 350
mix together flour, salt, pepper, in a large zip bag
In medium size bowl or baking dish, mix together the eggs and buttermilk
In a third container, preferably a large baking dish, mix together crushed crackers, dill weed and cayenne pepper.
Dip pickles first in flour mixture, then egg mixture, then cracker crumbs.
Let them sit on plate for just a bit before placing one at at time into hot oil; small batches of 10-12 work best.
Carefully turn pickles once (if necessary depending on pan) to brown evenl on both sides.
Remove pickles from oil and drain on paper towels.
Then sprinkle with a little salt ande additional cayenne pepper.
