An unexpectedly delicious pasta dish! An unexpectedly delicious pasta dish!
Number of Servings: 6

Vegetable Oil, 2 tbsp (optional for cooking "chicken")
Morningstar Farms Chicken Strips meal starter, 1 bag
Spaghetti noodles (broken in half) 12 oz
    5 plum tomatos
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    Ground Cumin, 1/2 Tbsp
    salt & pepper to taste
    Chili powder, 2.5 tsp (remove)
    Water, tap, 1.5 cup
    Cheddar Cheese, 1 cup, shredded

Heat 1 Tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the "Chicken" strips according to directions. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Add remaining oil to the skillet, and add the broken spaghetti. Cook, stirring constantly until spaghetti is browned. Drain off any excess oil and add tomatoes and onion. Dice the "chicken" strips, and return them to skillet. Season with cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper. Pour in water, cover, and simmer over medium-low heat until pasta is tender, and water has been absorbed, about 10 minutes. Check towards the end, and add more water if necessary.

Spoon the mixture into bowls to serve, and garnish with shredded cheese.
