Ingredients

    2 lbs. Mild Italian Sausage
    1 C Onion chopped
    2 cloves Garlic chopped
    1 (28oz) Can Crushed Tomato
    12 oz Tomato paste
    13 oz Tomato sauce
    1/2 cup water
    2 Tbs Sugar
    1 1/2 tsp dried basil
    1 tsp Italian seasoning
    1 Tbs. Salt
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    4 Tbs fresh chopped parsley
    1/4 Cup grated parmesan

Tips

Tip: if sauce taste too acidic add a couple of pinches of baking soda, stir, and cook 15-20 min longer


Directions

In Large pot cook sausage, ground beef, onion and garlic. Stir in all of the canned tomatoes and water. Stir in seasonings and herbs. simmer 20 min. Add parmesan cheese and simmer 5-10 min. If you'd like to simmer the recipe longer to get the flavors to blend you can but it still tastes great if you eat it right away.
