Introduction

Got some leftover meats and veggies? Got some leftover meats and veggies?
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 cup uncooked white rice
    2 Tbsp butter, optional

    8 oz beef sirloin, cooked
    4 oz chicken, cooked
    0.5 cup lima beans or peas
    0.5 cup carrots
    0.75 cup (1 stalk) celery

    3 Tbsp canola oil
    4 Tbsp soy sauce

Tips

Seasoning suggestions: onion powder, garlic powder, ginger powder, turmeric, cinnamon, cayenne pepper.

If possible, cook the rice ahead of time and refrigerate until well-chilled.


Directions

Precook rice with butter. (see tips)
Cut up precooked beef and chicken.
Dice carrots and celery.
Heat a wok or deep skillet.
Add oil then add cutup meats and saute for several minutes.
Add desired seasonings and mix well. (see tips)
Add vegetables. Stir and mix well for several minutes.
Add rice, mix well until heated through.

Serving Size: makes 4 servings
