Ingredients

    2 eggs
    1/2 cup fat-free milk
    3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
    2 teaspoons cinnamon
    4 slices white bread, cubed
2 small apples, peeled, cored, and diced
    3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    2 teaspoons butter

Tips

My family LOVES this recipe. It's originally a Weight Watchers recipe, but you would NEVER guess that it's a "diet" dish. If you make it the night before then it's great for any day of the week. It doesn't re-heat the best in the microwave, it's not terrible, just not as good as when fresh.

Directions

1) Pre-heat oven to 350. Spray a small casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
2) In a medium bowl, lightly beat eggs; add milk, 1 Tablespoon of brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
Add the bread and the apples, stir gently. Let it stand for 2-3 min. until all the liquid is absorbed.
3) For the topping, mix the flour, remaining 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
4) Spread the bread mixture in the dish, and sprinkle on the topping. Bake for 35-40 min., until it is golden brown. Cool slightly and serve.
