Introduction

Trying to get my little one to gain some weight. With my lower calorie cooking, and her love of veggies, her weight has steadily lowered itself on the growth charts since introducing solid food, so I am trying to avoid "cookies, cake and ice cream" like her pediatrician suggested, and do it healthfully... Ingredients

    3 apples, washed and chopped
    1/4 c raisins
    1 TBS olive oil
    4 ounces water

Tips

We have a baby steamer/blender, so it's quite simple for us. We add 2 ounces of this to the "Fatten Up The Baby Oatmeal" recipe I added to this site, and she loves it. We've also added 2 ounces of this to 2-3 ounces of yogurt, and she LOVED it. It is too sweet to eat on it's own, but is a good "sweetener" for other foods.

Directions

Put the apples and raisins in a steamer (or cook them on a stove top with water.) When the raisins plump and the apples are tender, add the oil and blend in a blender until it is the consistency you need.

Serving Size: makes four 4 ounce jars of baby puree
