Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg or 2 laarge egg whites
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 teasspoon vanilla extract
2 cup quick oats
1/2 cup dried cherries
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions
preheat oven to 350 degrees
sift or wisk all dry ingredient in med bowl add oats set aside.
mix together 2 tablspoons applesauce and sugars, beat in egg and then the remaining 1/4 cup applesauce and vanilla. Stir in the oat mixture until well mixed. Lastly add chocolate chips and dried cherries.
drop tablespoonfuls onto cookie stone or parchment lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 10-14 minutes until edges are lightly brown.
Serving Size: make approximately 2 dozen cookies
