Ingredients

2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups water
1 lemon (peel cut into strips, juice squeezed and strained)
1 orange (peel cut into strips, juice squeezed and strained)
4 tablespoons unflavored powdered gelatin
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Directions
1. Dissolve the granulated sugar in the water in a saucepan on medium heat.
2. Add the strips of lemon and orange peel and the juices. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes.
3. Soak the gelatin in the mixture for 5-10 minutes; strain in a shallow pan or platter. Let it set for 24 hours.
4. Cut the candy into desired shapes.
5. Sift the cornstarch and powdered sugar together in a shallow dish; roll the pieces of candy in the mixture and serve.
6. Store the candies on waxed paper with the extra cornstarch and powdered sugar mixture. Keep loosely covered.
Serving Size: 25 servings, 2 pieces per serving.
