Ingredients

    1 tsp olive oil
    1 cup finely chopped onion
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1 1/2 lb extra-lean ground beef
    1 cup chili sauce, divided
    3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
    2 egg whites
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1/4 tsp salt (optional)
    1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375. Heat Oil in large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir 5 minutes. Add garlic; cook and stir 1 minute. Transfer to large bowl; cool 5 minutes.

2. Add beef, 1/2 cup chili sauce, oats, egg whites, pepper and salt, if desired, to bowl; mix well. Pat into 9x5-inch loaf pan. Combine remaining 1/2 cup chili sauce and mustard in small bowl; spoon evenly over top of meat loaf.

3. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until cooked through (160F). Let stand 5 minutes. Pour off any juices from pan. Cut into slices.
