Introduction

Makes 2# loaf -- 1 - 4" X 12" loaf or 2 - 4" X 8" loaves Makes 2# loaf -- 1 - 4" X 12" loaf or 2 - 4" X 8" loaves
Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1 C Buttermilk, lowfat
    1-2 oz water
    1 1/4 tsp salt
    1 egg, large
    1 T Canola oil
    2 T Molasses
    2 C Flour, unbleached
    1 1/2 C Rye flour
    1/4 tsp baking soda
    1 T caraway seed
    3 tsp Bread machine yeast

Directions

1. Add ingredients to bread machine in order
2. Select Dough Setting
3. Remove from pan to lightly floured surface - flour
hands and knead about 10 times - form into loaf -
place into greased bread pan - spray with oil -
cover with plastic wrap - let rise 30-60 min. in
warm place while pre-heating oven for 30 min.
to 350F
4. Bake 25-30 min. @ 350
5. Remove from oven to wire rack
6. Cool in pan for 10 minutes - then turn loaf out
on wire rack - cool completely - store in air tight
container or bag.

Serving Size:1- 4"x 12" loaf -- 24 slices -- or 2 - 4" X 8" loaves.
