Introduction

One serving provides 3 servings of greens and 2 servings of fruit. One serving provides 3 servings of greens and 2 servings of fruit.

Ingredients

    Romaine Lettuce, 6 cup, shredded
    Spinach, fresh, 5 cup
    Celery, raw, 2 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long)
    Mango, 1 fruit without refuse
    Apple, fresh, 1 large (3-1/4" dia) (approx 2 per lb
    Pear, fresh, 1 pear, medium (approx 2-1/2 per lb)

Tips

The original recipe called for only 3 fruits and 2 cups of water but I found that adding a fruit allowed an even 2 servings of fruit when the recipe is split in half (two days worth of breakfast) and I found that reducing the water to about one cup makes for a thicker smoothy which I find preferable.


Directions

Tear all greens
Cut Celery and fruit into chunks
Put celery and fruit into bottom of blender
Follow with Greens and some water
Blend
Add water as needed

Serving Size: Makes about 2 16-20 oz servings depending on the fruit and greens.
