Great starter recipe. Easy to add beef, game meat, or chicken or more vegis.

Also makes a great chip dip by adding cheese and sour cream (recommend adding to individual servings and not the entire pot).

Ingredients

    Onions, raw, 2 large(remove)
    Garlic, 4 cloves(remove)
    Water, tap, 3 cup (8 fl oz)(remove)
    La Preferida Black Beans 30 oz Can 7 Svc per Can, 21 serving(remove)
    Diced Tomato 28 oz can (7 svs per can), 21 serving(remove)
    Tomato Sauce 15 oz can (7 svs per can), 7 serving(remove)
    Pepper, black, 2 tbsp(remove)
    *Cumin seed, 3 tbsp(remove)
    Chili powder, 3 tbsp(remove)
    Garlic powder, 2 tbsp(remove)
    Oregano, ground, 1 tbsp(remove)
    Salt, .5 tbsp(remove)

Tips

For hotter chili, can add Franks Red Hot or play with spices.

Flavor gets better each time reheated.

Sodium is high using all canned ingredients (convenience!). Can lower sodium by dicing fresh tomato and cooking dry beans.

Chop vegs; Add all ingredients; bring to slow boil for 30-45 mins until thickens
