Introduction

Virtually fat free, low calorie, moist apple loaf. Virtually fat free, low calorie, moist apple loaf.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 egg
    2 tbsp soft brown sugar (unpacked, light or dark)
    2 Apples, grated with juice
    1.25 cups flour
    1.5 tsp baking powder
    0.25 tsp bicarbonate of soda
    Dash of salt

Tips

Add cocoa, choc chips, nuts, ground spices, fruit, whatever you like! Really low in calories and almost fat free. Great for breakfast or for an afternoon energy boost.


Directions

1. Preheat oven to 175C and grease a loaf tin.
2. Mix all the wet ingredients together. No need for whisking or beating.
3. Sift in the rest of the ingredients and mix until flour is just incorporated.
4. Bake for 45-55 minutes on a low heat. Check at 45 with a skewer (should come out clean).

Serving Size: Makes 6 generous slices
