    Butternut Squash, 3 cups cooked
    Butter, unsalted, .5 tbsp
    Brown Sugar, 3 tsp packed
    Milk, nonfat (skim milk), 1 cup
    Milk, 2%, 1 cup
    Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz)
    Nutmeg, ground, 1 tsp
    Salt, .5 tsp
    Pepper, black, .5 tsp


I have added 4 cups cubed butternut squash in the ingredients since there was no choice of cooked sqash. But I have used 3 cups of cooked sqash.
This is kind of dessert soup. If you want it richer by all means you can add half and half or butter on top when you serve it.


Puree cooked butters nut squash in a blender adding milk and water as neeeded.
Heat butter in a nonstick pan and add brown sugar and cook until it melts. Add pureed butternut squash and reamaining milk or water. Add salt, black pepper and nutmeg. Bring it to a simmer. Serve hot.
