Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 1/2 c. cooked beans
1/4 c. bean liquid or vegetable broth
    1 c rolled oats
    2 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes
1/4 c chopped Brazil nuts (I used walnuts & almonds)
    1/2 c sauteed onions, chopped
1/2 tsp fresh sage (I used more like a tablespoon)
    salt to taste

Directions

Put the beans and the liquid into a bowl and mash the beans. Add the other ingredients and mix well. Drop from tablespoons or scoop into oiled baking dish, or lightly oiled skillet. (I used a foil-lined, cooking spayed cooky sheet.) Flatten the patties and Cover. (I used another sheet of foil.) Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Turn the patties and cover again. Let cook another 15 minutes. (I then uncovered them and let them cook a little longer to crisp them up a bit.)
