cook 2 slices bacon that has already been cut up. assemble rest of ingredients in salad bowl.
add balsamic to drippings that have cooled a bit. Caution will splatter. pour over salad and toss to coat. Eat right away. This salad is filling, tasty and good for you. Big bacon flavor without all the "bad" vary ingedients to taste. Enjoy.

I make this but without the apple and tomato. I add thin slices of red onion a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. - 5/9/08

  • Sounds great - I will try it tonight. My aunt made one very similar but instead of apples added fresh mung bean sprouts. - 2/10/11
