Ingredients
-
Beans, black, 2 cup
Beans, pinto, 2 cup
Beans, red kidney, 2 cup
Tomato Sauce, 2 cup
Stewed Tomatoes, 2 cup
*Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 32 oz
Onions, raw, 2 cup, chopped
Garlic, 4 tsp (or to taste)
Curry powder, 2 tbsp(or to taste)
Chili powder, 4 tbsp(or to taste)
Salt, 1 tsp(or to taste)
Pepper, black, 1 tbsp(or to taste)
Directions
Start by lightly carmelizing the onions and garlic. Add the Ground Turkey. You can subsitute any other protien, like chicken, pork or beef, choped, shreaded or ground. Cook until just done. Dont over cook. Remember it will cook more with the beans. Spice with Salt and Pepper to taste. Next add the tomato Sauce and Stewed tomatoes. I squish the stewed tomatoes by hand to break up. If you like a chunkier chilie just dump them in. Next drain the beans in a colander. Lightly rinse. Try not to rinse all the bean juice off unless you want to. Next add them to the pot. Finally spice with Chile powder and Cummin to your taste. If you like, add Tabasco. Let simmer on low for about 30-45 minutes. The longer the better. Enjoy!!!
