Ingredients

1/3 cup egg whites in a carton
    1/3 cup nonfat milk
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    3 packages sweetener (like Equal)
    pinch nutmeg

Directions

In a one-cup size microwavable bowl, combine all ingredients except the nutmeg.
Microwave on lowest power setting for 30 minutes (for 1250W oven).
Because microwave ovens vary, you may need to experiment with the time to get the custard to set up without curdling. Let stand for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle nutmeg on top.

LouLou...I tried the ricotta cheese thing...kinda grainy and not smooth like custard. Not convinced this recipe is better, but I may try it. - 3/1/09

    Bad
Sorry, but does not look very apetizing. Just try 4 or 5% fat ricotta with a pinch of sugar and drops of vanilla and you will have a much more delicious low calorie dessert, more creamy with no cooking. Tastes like whipped cream. - 10/8/08
