Introduction

Most recipes for ham glazes are full of sugar. I am on a low carb diet so, I'm trying something a little different. I am subbing peanut butter for honey and Truvia for the brown sugar. Ingredients

    1/4 cup natural peanut butter
    1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
    1/4 cup butter
    1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
    2 tsp ground thyme
    4 tsp Truvia

Tips

Directions

Combine all ingredients and put on a 5-7 lb ham. Place ham in a crock pot and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until heated through. Serve

    I made this glaze for our Christmas ham. It was not sugary sweet, which we were glad for, and the taste of peanut butter was subtle. It gave the ham a good flavor. I asked our guests for their honest opinion. They liked it a lot and I did too! - 1/8/14
