Ingredients

1 pie crust
6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced.
1/2 cup sugar
about 2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 cup butter
dash salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup oatmeal (dry)
1/4 cup brown sugar
Tips
This is lovely served with ice-cream.
Directions
1) Prepare your pie shell.
2) Peel, core and slice your apples. Place these into a medium pot. Add the 1/2 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon cloves, 1/4 cup butter and the dash salt.
3) Simmer the apple mixture, until it starts to get tender. Add the lemon juice. Stir well. Put the filling aside to cool.
4) In a medium bowl, mix the 1/4 cup butter, oatmeal, 1/4 cup flour, and brown sugar with a pastry blender. mix until everything is nice and blended.
5) Place the apple filling into the pie shell. Top the filling with the oatmeal crumble. Press slightly to make even.
6) Place the pie on a cookie tray, and bake in a pre-heated 375'F oven for about 50 - 60 minutes.
Cool and serve.
