Introduction

The Crock Pot community was talking about meatloaf in a crockpot, so I put this together. This can be baked in the oven or set up in the crockpot. Enjoy!

As an added treat, make a "crust" of gluten free bread crumbs, herbs and seasonings, and a little bit of salt and spread over the top before cooking. Any gluten free bread crumbs will work, but I particularly like Schar brand.

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 16 oz (remove)
    Ground beef, lean, 16 oz (remove)
    Bread Crumbs GF Schar 3T, 1 serving (remove)
    Tomato Paste, 1 can (6 oz) (remove)
    Egg, fresh, 1 large (remove)
    Italian seasonings
    garlic powder
    onion powder
    salt

Directions

1. Mix everything together until well blended.
2. Add topping (optional).
3. Place into loaf pan that fits your crockpot.
4. Add water to the crockpot, but outside your loaf pan until loaf pain has water up most of the way on its side.
5. Cook on low for 4-6 hours (It will be closer to the 4 hour mark).

Serving Size: makes 8 slices
