    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 onion, diced
    3 tbsp parsley
    500g green beans (fresh or frozen)
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 tbsp tomato paste
    1 tsp sugar


You can also add a couple of potatoes or zucchini while adding the onion and parsley.


In medium saucepan heat oil and saute onion and parsley until soft. Add green beans and saute 2 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste,tomato paste, and sugar. Stir to combine. Add enough water to cover the beans and boil for 30-40 min until they are soft, adding water as needed. Water should be minimal when the beans are done.
