Introduction

Growing up in the '60s and '70s this was a staple in my house. Growing up in the '60s and '70s this was a staple in my house.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 lb extra lean Ground Beef
    4 cups (dry) Elbow Macaroni
    6 cups Tomato Sauce (three 15 oz. cans)
    2 cups Petite Diced Tomatoes (one 14.5 oz. can)
    1 large Onion (diced)
    salt and pepper to taste

Tips

Friends of mine "doctor" my goulash to suit their tastes. Some add garlic powder and others add hot sauce.


Directions

Dice onions.
Brown hamburger, add salt and pepper to taste. Add onions while hamburger is browning.
Drain hamburger.
Prepare macaroni according to package directions. Set aside.
In a large cooking pot, combine diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, macaroni, and hamburger.
Heat on medium until hot, stirring occasionally.
