Ingredients

    1.25 lb ground beef
    0.75 lb jimmy dean pork sausage mild
    1 head green cabbage (20 big leaves and the rest for chopping)
    1/2 link polska kielbasa
    1 bag shoprite frozen steam-in-bag brown rice
    1 egg
    1/2 container (2c) light/fat free chicken broth
    1/2 can (14oz) crushed tomatoes
    generous amount of salt and pepper (to taste)
    good hungarian paprika - generous amount

Directions

mix together meat, rice (uncooked), egg, and spices
add cabbage head to boiling water for 6 minutes
remove cabbage and separate the leaves
add a heaping tablespoon of meat mixture to each leaf and roll
chop left over cabbage into small pieces
cut kielbasa into small coin sized pieces (1/4 inch)


layer chopped cabbage on bottom of a large pot
add 1/3 of the kielbasa
layer 1/2 the cabbage rolls. Pack them tightly but not too tight to where they lose their shape.
add another layer of chopped cabbage
add another 1/3 of the kielbasa
add the other 1/2 of the cabbage rolls
top with the rest of the chopped cabbage and keilbasa.
add the tomatoes on top
pour over chicken broth

bring pot to a boil. Let boil for 10 minutes
lower heat to a simmer (medium heat) and cook for 60-90 minutes.
