Introduction

This is a lightened up version of smoked salmon pate that is super flavorful. This is a lightened up version of smoked salmon pate that is super flavorful.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    -Smoked salmon (12 oz package)
1/2 cup of light sour cream
2 tbsp of light butter (or regular, if preferred)
    Dill
    Salt and pepper to taste

Tips

I would recommend being conservative with the salt as the salmon itself is very salty. You can omit the salt altogether if desired.

I also found that the pate doesn't need much butter, unless you like it to be very rich -- the sour cream helps balance out the flavors and consistency, so I added a bit more than 1/2 cup rather than more butter.

I used hot wood-smoked salmon rather than cold-smoked (lox). I haven't tried it with cold-smoked salmon, but I'm sure that would work as well, the flavor and consistency would just be a bit different.

Directions

In a food processor, combine salmon, sour cream, butter, and 1 tbsp of dill. Pulse until smooth. Add additional dill, salt, and pepper to taste, if desired.
