Oats may be quick or old fashioned.Any of the ingredients may be increased or decreased according to preference.

Ingredients

4 cups of quick oats
1/2 cup of raw or brown sugar
1/2 cup of silvered almonds
1/2 cup of chopped pecans
1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup wheatgerm
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup oil
Stir all dry ingredients together, heat water and oil and whip together with vanilla and maple syrup or maple extract. Stir liquid into dry ingredients. Place in two large baking pans and bake in 300 degree oven for about 1 hour, stirring every 12 minutes.
Tips
Salt may be omitted if on a salt free diet.
Cashew nuts and sesame seeds are also good.
Substitute 1/4 cup of maple syrup for half the sugar if desired.
Directions
Bake 300 for 1 hour, stirring every 12 - 15 minutes (or until toasted to your preference).
