Ingredients

    1 Tbsp Olive oil
    1 medium green pepper, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1-1/2 cups chopped mushrooms
    1 15oz can of black beans, rinsed and drained
    1 28 oz can of stewed tomatoes
    1/4 cup barbecue sauce
    1 cup rolled oats
    dash hot sauce, if desired

Tips

Spices have basically no calories, so feel free to experiment with chili powder, cayenne, cumin, cinnamon, or other spices to taste.


Directions

Saute green pepper and onion in oil until tender. Toss in remaining ingredients, cook until warm and thickened. Serve on bread or buns (not calculated in nutrition info).
