Introduction

The recipe calls for 8 oz canned no sugar added tomato sauce but I just pureed 3 small beefstake tomatoes. Turned out really good. Serve over a bed of lettuce or raw spinach or as a burrito with fresh spinach, tomato, avocado, shredded cheese and sour cream. Ingredients

    3-4 boneless skinless chicken breast, trimmed of fat
    1 8oz can tomato sauce (no sugar added)
    1/2 cup salsa
    1 package Low Sodium taco seasoning
    1 tsp chili powder
    1 tsp cumin
    2 cloves minced garlic

Tips

I used frozen chicken breasts and 3 cloves of fresh garlic. I also put olive oil on the bottom because I was afraid of the chicken sticking but I wont do that next time.


Directions

Put chicken breasts in slow cooker. Pour remaining ingredients on top of chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until chicken is cooked through
