Introduction

Really good on a bun with a creamy yogurt sauce or some chutney! Really good on a bun with a creamy yogurt sauce or some chutney!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 cup red lentils
    1/2 cup dry oats
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 tbsp mild curry/korma powder
    1/4 tsp salt

Directions

Cook red lentils in water until done, drain and put aside in a bowl. Sautee onions with pan spray until softened. Add curry powder to the onions and stir until fragrant and take off the heat. Add onions to red lentils in bowl and stir in salt. In a food processor, process the dry oats to a flour, then add to the lentil mixure and stir until it thickens. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed. Form into patties and cook in frying pan with spray until browned on both sides. Serve in a bun, flatbread, or alone with a salad.
